When you imagine your dream home, you want it to be perfect. That’s probably the No. 1 reason you decided to look into building a home. From the overall style of the home to the individual features, you want your home to reflect your personality and style.
At the start of every year, we release a catalog that features our newest floor plans. At the end of the year, we check in to see which floor plans are the most popular. In 2021, our most popular floor plans included Mt. Rainier, Gallatin, Cashmere, Douglas, and Winchester. With a unique look, each plan is designed for certain family sizes, keeping both your taste and comfort in mind.
In this blog post, learn all about this year’s most popular floor plans so that you can move farther down the path toward your dream home.
The Mt. Rainier
The Mt. Rainier stands at 3,217 square feet, making it the perfect place for larger or multigenerational families to call home. It features a dramatic vaulted entry with a winding staircase and a formal dining room.
On the first floor, the kitchen has plenty of counter space to prepare large meals for family and friends. Because it is an open concept floor plan, the chef can stay connected to all those lounging in the great room. Just off the great room is the generously sized primary suite, which comes complete with his and her closets that lead into a spa-like bathroom. The first floor also has a den that our clients love to use for an office or entertainment space.
Upstairs you will find three spacious bedrooms, two full Jack-and-Jill bathrooms, and a large bonus room that is built for fun or to use as a guest room. Or, if you are seeking a multigenerational property, this is the perfect room to turn into a bedroom for grandparents.
The Gallatin
At 2,080 square feet and with up to five bedrooms, the Gallatin is another perfect option for larger or multigenerational families.
On the first floor, you will find the primary suite with an attached bathroom that features a separate tub from the shower and his and her sinks. This room opens up into the great room, where our clients love to use it as a gathering place for friends or for family time.
On the second floor, you’ll find three bedrooms, one bathroom, and a bonus room that can either be used as an entertainment space for the kids or a fifth bedroom for relatives staying long term.
Let's not forget about the charm because there is plenty of that too! The covered front porch is not only practical but also absolutely charming. Extend the charm by adding the optional wraparound front porch.
The Cashmere
By selecting the Cashmere, you will be living in a sprawling ranch with more than 3,000 square feet of well-appointed living space, making it a perfect place for a multigenerational or larger family.
Many of our clients who have selected the Cashmere love bonding with friends and family in this relaxed and comfortable space. The plan provides a lot of connectivity from room to room, especially with the kitchen that opens into the great room.
The comfort of this home extends into the spacious primary suite. With dual closets, you never need to argue over closet space again. The oversized bathroom provides lots of room for storage and can easily be upgraded to have a more spa-like feel.
On the other side of the house, you will find two more bedrooms and a bonus room that can be used as an entertainment space or fourth bedroom. If you go with the latter option, the den is perfect for a cozy space where the family can gather together for a movie.
The Douglas
Standing at 1,192 square feet, the Douglas is a rambler-style home that is perfect for smaller families or those who are just getting started. You can find the primary suite with a private bathroom and two other bedrooms all on one cozy floor.
The space is used incredibly efficiently with an open concept layout and plenty of options to upgrade the space. Many of our clients who love to cook select the oversized island to have plenty of space for their delicious meals.
Enhance the cozy factor of the great room by including the optional gas fireplace into your design to create a comfortable, easy living space.
The Winchester
Another rambler-style home, the Winchester stands at 1,560 square feet. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this space is another great option for smaller or younger families.
With the kitchen, great room, and dining area located centrally within this home, entertaining is a breeze. The split bedroom layout affords the ultimate privacy for the primary suite. If you don't need the third bedroom, it can easily be converted into a den.
