Deschutes County is located in the High Desert of Central Oregon. Bend, the political and economic center of the County is surrounded by a host of mesmerizing volcanoes including the Three Sisters, Mount Washington, Mount Bachelor, and Broken Top. Tourism has become the primary economic driver in the region, as the climate offers year-round outdoor activities.
